We are very happy to let you know that we found a new home base for horseback archery here in the Netherlands, the Magnolia Ranch! The Magnolia Ranch is owned by Ed Gosen and Christa Roderkerken. It’s in the east of the Netherlands, in Hengelo (Gelderland, we have two Hengelo’s in the Netherlands!), not far from the German border.
Ed and Christa have several Quarter horses who are trained for western riding. Ed is a high level and experienced western rider and instructor. In Texas, where he lived for 7.5 years, he learned horseback archery. And now, back in the Netherlands, he gave us the opportunity to continue our dream, to enable others to enjoy horseback archery and give training at different levels, from beginners to advanced horseback archers.
Last month we have been busy to train the horses and to familiarize ourselves with the western way of horseriding. This has been so much fun.
After four fulltime days of training we are ready to give our first training on the 1st August for some of our students.
In the future we will plan more trainings at different levels, which you will be able to find at https://www.facebook.com/siemhorsebackarchery/
We hope to see you soon!
